On August 1, 2023, President William Ruto hosted Cabinet Secretaries, Principal Secretaries and heads of parastatals at State House, Nairobi, for a not-so-ordinary meeting. The President had assembled his cavalry to have them sign performance contracts, a move the Head of State said would transform government services.
